An Unforgettable Evening of Beauty at St. Anne's
Last month, the Junior League of Los Angeles (JLLA) partnered with St. Anne's to present an uplifting and fun evening of makeovers, hairstyling and manicures for the pregnant teens and new teenage mothers living in St. Anne's transitional housing. Circle of Friends participated by donating hair and bath products for the goodie bags each young woman received.
Upon arrival to the event, each St. Anne's under-privileged adolescent was greeted with a goodie bag filled with donations from Circle of Friends, O.P.I. and Neutrogena, and an appointment card for their spa services. The spa-like atmosphere was complete with soothing music, fruit displays, and running water fountains. A JLLA volunteer accompanied two girls to their appointments throughout the evening. Each teenage girl had before and after photographs taken. Many of the girls took their after shot with their Junior League buddy; one girl remarked, "I just want to remember you." The room was filled with inspiration and hope as many of the St. Anne's girls won raffle prizes and immediately remarked, "I've never won anything before!"
Junior League members celebrate a job well-done!
Circle of Friends appreciates all the time and effort given by the Junior League of Los Angeles to organize this esteem-building event. Circle of Friends also thanks the stylists and manicurists who carefully manicured nails, created amazing makeovers, cut and styled hair with great dedication, all staying until ten in the evening until the last appointment was finished.
