Tots N Teens
This Mother's Day, Circle of Friends salutes a very special salon: Tots N Teens, in Plano Texas. It takes a special bond for a mother and daughter to run a business together.
At Tots and Teens, Robin Baldridge and her daughter Christy do just that, working together to run one of the few salons that cater to ages ranging from babies through teenagers. The salon was born of necessity – Robin worked alongside Christy managing a children's salon for years, and realized that while her clients outgrew her styling chair, they did not outgrow the need for quality hair care.
Noticing that there were no salons that specialized in caring for teens as they came out of the children's salons, Robin and Christy conceived Tots N Teens – a salon divided in the middle, one half catering to Tots, the other providing care to Teens.
Robin and Christy work side by side, beautifying the Tots, Teens, and of course Moms of the Plano area. They even offer coloring, perms and waxing for Moms, while providing a bright environment for their children. Who knows – watching Mom's day of beauty may inspire Junior to actually ask for a haircut of their very own!
Tots N Teens stands out again as a salon catering to special needs children. A member of the Autism Society of Collin County, Robin welcomes children with special needs into her salon with open arms. She has been seen sitting in the middle of her salon floor, helping her young clients to feel more comfortable with the experience of getting their hair cut.
