Since 1955, the MDA summer camp in Big Bear, CA has been a magical week for the children. Many of the campers look forward to camp all year. This year, each day of camp had a different city theme: Las Vegas, Hollywood, Texas, Hawaii, New Orleans and New York. Every city brought a different exciting activity for the children to enjoy. On New York day, the campers put on a Broadway-style talent show and on Texas day they enjoyed a day of horse back riding and a BBQ! Circle of Friends was happy to provide hair paint for the kids to play with and lip balm and bath products for each child to take home with them.
As stated by the MDA camp director, “The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary national agency dedicated to a partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than one million Americans.” For more information about the MDA, please visit them on the web at www.mdausa.org.
