Children's Brain Tumor Foundation

Circle of Friends was happy to be a part of the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation's 17th annual Big Apple Circus in Lincoln Center, NYC.

Over 1,000 people from the tri-state area attended the Big Apple Circus this year, which has raised over $5 million dollars for pediatric brain tumor research and patient services over the years. Each year, hundreds of tickets to the grand event are given free of charge to children with brain tumors. This year, the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation wanted to do something special and gave each child in attendance a treat bag to take home with them. Circle of Friends was proud to sponsor this bag and support this wonderful organization.

Each year, over 3,100 children are diagnosed with a brain tumor. The Children's Brain Tumor Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1988 by dedicated parents, physicians and friends. Their mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research, support, education and advocacy to families and survivors.

The Children's Brain Tumor Foundation also works with Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life threatening illnesses. They sponsor 2 weeks of camp for children with a brain tumor to attend a session of camp in Maine with other children facing the same challenges.
