Families Through Adoption is a Pennsylvania-based organization established for mutual support among adoptive families. Members of Families Through Adoption (FTA) live throughout Central Pennsylvania and include families with adopted children from a variety of countries and families waiting to adopt. FTA hosts events to support adoptive families and their children.
This year’s Festival of Many Lands had an Olympic theme. The Festival of Many Lands was a cultural celebration with tables representing each of the adoptive families' countries of origin. Each child was given a "medal" to wear around his/her neck upon arrival, and received a "pendant” at each “country” they visited. The children learned about different cultures as they traveled “around the world.” The adults networked and found out information about adoption as well. Several types of international entertainment were featured including dancers, musicians, games, and an Olympic parade.
Circle of Friends was proud to sponsor this great event promoting cultural diversity and friendship. Each child received a gift of Circle of Friends products to continue celebrating different cultures at home.
