Violence Intervention Program

The Violence Intervention Program, also known as VIP was founded from the Center for the Vulnerable Child, the largest child abuse center in California. VIP was created to expand its mental and health services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and elder or dependent adult abuse.

Each year VIP assists more than 5,000 individuals and families. Although children continue to be the main focus, VIP provides medical, forensic, mental health, social and legal services for all victims regardless of gender or age. In order to help those directly affected by violence to get back on their feet, VIP also aids in housing, transportation, English as a Second Language classes, mentoring and tutoring.

So how can you help, you ask? VIP is looking for holiday gifts for those impacted by family violence and sexual assault. Learn more about VIP, and find their Holiday Wish List at www.violenceinterventionprogram.org
