Sledding

Hi, my name is Paulina and winter is my favorite season of the year! During the winter, it snows a lot in Poland. When it snows, my sister and I love to go sledding. We take our toboggan, also known as a wooden sled, to the snowy hills by my home, and climb to the top. Then we get on out sled and ride all the way to the bottom. It's so much fun!

Each year, my family goes to Zapokane for more sledding on even bigger hills. Sometimes we go tubing too! It's just like sledding but instead of a sled we ride down the hill on a plastic tube that looks like an inflated raft. Zakopane is the biggest resort in Poland. It is located at the edge of the Tatra Mountains National Park.
