The FUN place for haircuts!

The first salon of its kind in Northeast Florida, The Mane Spot offers a fun, relaxing experience for the whole family.

Opened in August of last year, owner Suzanne Young-Turcotte found it difficult to find a decent salon for her 2 preschool sons to get their hair cut. During her search, her sons' experiences went from mediocre to bad. The salons they tried were not designed to serve children. She knew that kids' hair salons existed in other parts of the country, and decided it was time for Jacksonville, Florida to join them. The Mane Spot was created to offer a pleasurable yet exciting environment for kids and their parents.

Offering children's haircuts in a fun, friendly, clean and chemical-free environment, parents have a piece-of-mind knowing their children will be well taken care of. At The Mane Spot, it's all about the kids having a great experience. The patient, friendly and very talented stylists are exceptional when it comes to to children. Younger clients get to choose between the sports car or jet airplane chair! And all clients (parents are welcome) have the option of playing video games or watching DVD's while enjoying a trim.

But the fun begins long before it's your turn on the chair at The Mane Spot. Their waiting areas are divided by age. Why didn't anyone think of this before? Make new friends while playing with the Thomas the Train play-set or challenging someone on a video game. The Mane Spot also offers many events and special themed days. Come in on Wacky Wednesdays to receive a great rebate. Wearing green on "Green Day" or your favorite jersey on "Team Clothes Day" are just a few examples of the great fun and family involved themed days at The Mane Spot. Have fun, be silly and save money all at the same time!
